2009 VT State Champs
050712 - Report scores and RRI update
This email was sent out to all team contacts on Monday, 5/7:

Hello everyone,
All housing assignments were sent out last week. If you signed up for
housing and have yet to get an email connecting you with your host, let
me know immediately.
My goal is to send out the first draft of a tourney schedule in the
next 48 hours.
In order for the schedule
to be as accurate as possible, I need all of you to report all of your
game scores to the USA
Ultimate Score Reporter.
Ranking coming into the tournament will be almost entirely based off of
your team's RRI number.
Open teams: You must report 5 scores or more in order to have a valid
RRI number.
Girls teams: You must report at least 2 scores in order to have a valid
RRI number.
If your team doesn't have a valid RRI number, I will be forced to guess
where your team should be placed. I do not want to have to do that for
anyone.
Please take a minute to look up your team in the score reporter and input any missing scores.
Get this done ASAP.
A quick update on the tournament
format and field locations:
0) Maps of all four field sites are online right here.
1) All girls games will be played at St.
Johnsbury Academy, located at 1000 Main St., St. Johnsbury, VT.
2) The top 8 open teams will be in the A division and will play the
majority of their games at the Lyndon
Town School, located at 2591 Lily Pond Road in Lyndonville, VT. (A
few A division games will be played at Lyndon Institute on Saturday in
the late afternoon.)
3) The middle 16 open teams will be in the B division and will play all
of their games at Lyndon Institute,
located at 168 Institute Circle, Lyndon Center, VT.
4) The bottom 16 open teams will be in the C division and will play the
majority of their games at the Caledonia
County Fairgrounds, located at Fairgrounds Road in Lyndon, VT. (A
few C division games will be played at Lyndon Institute on Saturday in
the late afternoon.)

Thank you for your patience on this info. Apologies for its
tardiness.
This weekend, May 5&6 is the first Champlainships. With 7
teams competing - Burlington, CVU, Montpelier, South Burlington, St.
Johnsbury JV and Vermont Commons - we will be playing a round-robin
tournament format. Captain's & Coaches Meeting will be at
8:30, games will start at 9am and proceed thusly:
Champlainships
2012 Schedule
Saturday:
Round 1: 9:00 - 10:15
Round 2: 10:45 - 12:00
Round 3: 12:30 - 1:45
Round 4: 2:15 - 3:45
Round 5: 4:15 - 5:30
Sunday:
Round 6: 9:00 - 10:15
Round 7: 10:45 - 12:00
Round 8: 12:30 - 1:45
Round 9 (If necessary to determine a Champion): 2:15 -3:45
Awards ceremony to immediately follow the last game.
- Games will be 75 minutes long (Soft cap at 65 minutes, horn/whistle
will sound)
- 30 minutes between games.
- Games to 11, Point cap at 13.
- 1 Timeout per half per team.
We will have water jugs, gatorade and basic foodstuffs (Fruit, bagels
etc.) available at the Tourney HQ. Any extra lunch foods or
drinks or snacks will need to be provided by your teams. Please
be good stewards to the environment and bring re-usable water bottles
to fill up and use this weekend.

2012 Schedule
And now, rostering... Way to go coaches. Each team is about
95% complete! Please bring your Medical forms for me to check and
we'll be set. If there are newer players who have not yet signed
up with USAU or are unsure of their status, they will need to pay me $5
and sign a USAU Waiver to be cleared to play. For the individuals
who are rostered and are labeled as "Incomplete" we can address those
people at the Tourney HQ in the morning before the first game.
If you haven't paid your entry fee yet, please bring me a check before
the Captain & Coaches Meeting.
Finally, I'm happy to announce that since we will have an extra field
at the venue, there will be a Girls Clinic and games from 10am - 2 on
Saturday (we can certainly go longer if there's interest).
Current USAU members will be welcomed for $10 and non-USAU girls can
play for $15 & a parent-signed medical form. Each player will
receive a disc and some form of instruction. Currently, I'll be
running the clinic, but if anyone has an extra adult coach or
knowledgable volunteer they'd like to nominate to help me or to take it
over, that'd be very appreciated.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE YOUR LADY ULTIMATE PLAYERS TO COME PARTICIPATE AND GET
TO KNOW THE OTHER FANTASTIC LADIES ON THE FIELDS!

Everything you need to know about housing at the St. Johnsbury Invite is online right here. Please make sure you are very familiar with
all of the housing information.
We're in the process of making our final team to host assignments. Our
goal is to start sending out introductory emails to teams and hosts in
the next 7-10 days. If you do not receive your host information by
Monday, 4/30, please let me know.
Also listed below are the teams that have requested housing. Please
check this list carefully and make sure your team's entry is accurate.

SJAI2012 - 042012 Update

at 7:45am.

Hello everyone,
Everything is on track for the 2012 St. Johnsbury Invite to be the best
SJAI to date!
1) The hard deadline for singing up for dinner spots is Monday, 4/23.
By then, please let me know if you'd like to change anything about the
number of dinner spots on the master info spreadsheet.
2) Please make sure you report all of your games leading up to the
event in the USA Ultimate
Score Reporter System. The more games you report the better. I will
be using the USA Ultimate rankings to determine tournament seeding. The
rankings become more accurate as more games are entered.
To make things perfect, I would really like it if the following
paperwork items could be taken care of immediately.
